1. Overview
Daily Tracker ("the app," "we," "us") helps parents and adults track health information — such as food, medicine, vaccines, growth, feeding, diabetes, and blood pressure — for a child ("Kids profile") and for themselves ("Adult profile"). This policy explains what information the app handles, how it's stored, and the choices you have.
We designed the app so that almost everything stays on your own device by default, and any backup you choose to enable goes to your own personal Google Drive account — not to a server we operate.
2. Information we collect
The app collects only what you choose to enter into it:
- Profile information: a name and date of birth, for the Kids profile and/or the Adult profile, if you choose to enter them.
- Health tracking entries: food logs, medicine logs, vaccine/insulin records, height and weight measurements, feeding logs, diabetes readings, and blood pressure readings, each with the date, time, and details you enter.
- Reminder settings: the times and repeat schedules you set for reminders.
- Support messages: if you use the in-app Help & Support form, the email address and message you provide are sent to our support email so we can respond to you.
We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or device identifiers for advertising purposes, and the app does not currently contain any advertising or analytics tracking software.
3. Where your data is stored
All the information listed above is stored locally on your device, in a private database that only Daily Tracker can access. We do not operate a server that stores your health entries, and we do not have the ability to view your data unless you contact us directly (for example, through the Help & Support form).
4. Google Drive backup
If you choose to connect a Google account under Settings, the app can back up a copy of your data to a private, hidden storage area in your own Google Drive, using Google's restricted "app data" access — the same kind of access many productivity apps use for backups. This means:
- The backup file is not visible in your normal Google Drive folder view.
- Only Daily Tracker (not other apps, not us, not Google's other services) can read or write that backup, using your Google account's own permissions.
- Backup is entirely optional — the app works fully without connecting a Google account.
- You can disconnect your account at any time from Settings, and you can request Google itself remove Daily Tracker's access via your Google Account's Security settings.
5. Information about children
Daily Tracker is designed to be used by a parent or guardian to track their child's health information — it is not designed for children to use directly, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Any information about a child (such as a name, date of birth, or health entries) is provided by the parent or guardian using the app, stored locally on their device, and backed up only to that parent's own personal Google Drive account if they choose to enable backup.
If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about information you've entered for your child, you can delete it at any time using Settings > Delete Account, which permanently removes that profile's data from the device and from any Google Drive backup on your next backup.
6. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services, only for the purposes described:
- Google Sign-In and Google Drive API — used solely to let you back up and restore your own data, as described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing — used to process subscription payments if you choose to upgrade. We do not receive or store your payment card details; this is handled entirely by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party.
7. Notifications
Reminders you set are scheduled and delivered entirely on your own device using Android's local notification system. We do not use a push-notification server, and setting a reminder does not send any information off your device.
8. Subscriptions and payments
Daily Tracker offers optional paid plans (currently ₹149 for 3 months or ₹249 for 1 year) that remove entry/reminder limits and ads. All payments are processed by Google Play; we receive confirmation that a purchase was made but do not receive or store your payment details.
9. Data retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself. You can permanently delete all data for the Kids profile, the Adult profile, or both, at any time via Settings > Delete Account. This also removes the corresponding data from your Google Drive backup the next time a backup runs. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data immediately.
10. Security
Your data is stored in your device's private app storage, which other apps cannot access. Backup data sent to Google Drive is transmitted using Google's standard encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we've designed the app to minimize the data that ever leaves your device in the first place.
11. Your choices and rights
- You can view, edit, or delete any entry directly within the app.
- You can turn reminders off at any time.
- You can disconnect Google Drive backup at any time.
- You can delete all data for a profile, or your entire account, at any time.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or similar regional privacy laws — contact us using the details below if you'd like to exercise these.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
